Moss killing chemicals

When looking for a chemical treatment to kill moss on our lawn, consider iron sulphate granules or powder. These products provide nutrients to stimulate the growth of your lawn while killing the moss. We can use iron sulphate moss killer to control moss at any time during the growing season.

For even distribution, use a garden sprayer to apply the diluted iron sulphate moss killer to your lawn. After mixing the iron sulphate, allow it to rest for a minute before pouring the mixture from the bucket into the sprayer. Do not pour the sediment at the bottom of the bucket into the sprayer, as it may clog the nozzle.

We can use a simple watering can to apply the iron sulphate, but this is less practical for larger lawns. We can sprinkle the dry iron sulphate for lawns directly on the grass, but this is not recommended, as it is difficult to evenly distribute the granules on the lawn and moss over garden log border edging roll. Expect the spray to leave a black color on the lawn. This is temporary.

Apply the iron sulphate to your lawn every 14 days. Moss control can usually be achieved in about four to seven applications. While iron sulphate will help us control the moss growing in our lawn, be sure to address the conditions that allowed the moss to grow in the first place. This will decrease the chances that moss will return and will improve the health of the grass in our lawn.
